Career Experience

My college study focused on philosophy, English composition, and French language and literature. After graduation, I worked for a publisher of instruction books for creative hobbyists. Then, I worked in a medical school's urban health office. There I administered research and educational programs and generated department literature, including grant reports. I have served as a substitute teacher in grades 1-12 and taught 2 years of sophomore and junior high school English, plus journalism (grades 7-12). My strengths include research, analysis, writing, poetry, editing, and proofreading. During my career, I have written poems, essays, media reviews, news articles, speeches, short stories, novels, and a blog.

I Love Tutoring Because

I enjoy working with all students who genuinely need and want to learn. The chance to help in some small way is humbling and challenging. I love helping students learn how to learn, apply new tools, and develop skills.
