Career Experience
After graduating from high school, I embarked on my educational journey by enrolling at my local community college. During my time there, I successfully completed the general requirements for transfer and underwent rigorous training in their EMT program. It was during this period as an EMT that I gained invaluable firsthand experience in the medical field, cultivating a profound understanding and a deep sense of appreciation for the human aspect of medicine by assisting people in their most vulnerable moments. In 2020, I transferred to a four-year university, where I continued my academic pursuits. During my senior year, I had the privilege of joining a research laboratory where I honed my skills in protein chromatography using sophisticated HPLC machinery. This experience instilled in me the importance of meticulous attention to detail and the unwavering perseverance required for exploratory research. In 2022, I proudly graduated cum laude. The following summer, I ventured to Brazil for an internship under the guidance of several dedicated doctors, where I contributed to serving a humble community within the public healthcare system of the Fortaleza metropolitan area. In October 2022, I transitioned to the role of an emergency room technician, further expanding my expertise within the hospital setting. In September 2023 I took the MCAT, placing within the top 14% of applicants and began my applications for medical school.
