Career Experience
I've worked in education for over a decade. I transitioned to education after working in the legal world first by tutoring and then going back to school. I've been working with students from Grades 7-12 (and beyond) as an ELA, history, and law teacher. I became head of the humanities department at my school and hope to continue to grow in my profession.
I Love Tutoring Because
of the one-on-one conversations. I think that having personalized instruction can help students with the learning process, and I always enjoy seeing those "lightbulb moments" when a student understands. I also enjoy the flexibility of trying to explain a topic in multiple ways and being able to do a deep dive on a topic more than I could in a classroom.
