Career Experience
I am a native Spanish speaker. I possess the soft qualities needed for a teacher to be successful in the language and math teaching arenas. I am patient, detail oriented, cooperative and creative. I worked for a language institute teaching Spanish and English. I taught students of all age levels. Also, I work as a bilingual (Spanish-English) educational assistant at a public school. While I was pursuing my math degree, I was a math tutor at the students´ tutoring center. I have just finished reviewing and reinforcing 4 math courses for tutoring children for 3rd, 4th and 5th and 6th grade. While at the university I took Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra I and II, Calculus I, II, III & IV and Differential Equations. These basic courses served to apply to physics, dynamics and construction courses. I was a Spanish, Life Skills and Speech and Debate teacher at a high school for 2 years. I taught Spanish I, II, III and IV in high school with a focus on student-centered classes which resulted in high engagement. Also, I worked as a Spanish instructor at a US university for 2 years. Before this, I worked for a language institute where I trained a communicational-business goal for corporate executives. Some of the trainings were negotiation theory and practice, making presentations, and written communication. The learning throughout my studies was extensive and profound.
I Love Tutoring Because
I love working with people and sharing my knowledge with students, and while I teach I learn more than the students. When I teach the younger ones, it is nice to pass on to the new and future generation the knowledge. And for the elder ones, it is nice to share both of the knowledges.
