Career Experience
I worked my way through college doing clerical work. When I graduated, I was able to begin a career in accounting. I loved it but I wanted to try teaching. So, I worked full-time in accounting during the day and taught at night. Eventually, I felt that I wanted to flip my working situation to teaching full-time and doing consulting accounting work part-time. This is what I have done for the past two and a half decades, and I love it. Part of what I do is basically providing tutoring services for my students. It is one of the things I love best.
I Love Tutoring Because
Tutoring is actually a two-way learning opportunity. As a tutor works with a student, the tutor is also learning. Understanding the way a student approaches a problem can often provide valuable information for the tutor when working with others. However, the real draw is when a student shares that they understand the topic. There is something about that moment that a teacher really loves.
