I was a learning assistant (LA) for a quarter during my undergrad years. It taught me a lot about tutoring and fruitfully helping students. I learned how to encourage facilitated learning - allowing students to reach the answer themselves through guidance - instead of just providing the answer. I hope to bring those skills forward and create a good learning experience for students.
