Career Experience
I worked as a teaching assistant for an evolutionary biology class during undergrad, where I first discovered my passion for education and working with students. I worked in several different biology and psychology labs during college and as a cell biology research scientist for three years after graduating. I love science, math, and psychology, and wanted to be more involved in patient care, which led me to my current career goal of becoming a genetic counselor! I'm excited about genetic counseling because I get to educate people on how the science relates to their health. I also get to take the time to understand my patients and help them navigate their health journey.
