Career Experience

I am a physicist who is always willing to take on new challenges and expand my knowledge. I have participated in a project teaching physics to high school students through experiments with recyclable materials. I was a tutor in charge of an experiment related to Molecular Kinetic Theory. Additionally, I aced my calculus class when I took it. I have always enjoyed learning mathematics.

I Love Tutoring Because

I find that tutoring is a great way to test one's knowledge of a particular subject. Having the right words and ideas to convey knowledge and, at the same time, sensing that a student is able to grasp a concept, is a talent that I am keen to hone.

Kevin was a great tutor. He was able to see deep beyond the problem I was dealing with. I was tasked with graphing a simple function, but I struggled because I lacked the basics. He helped me develop a framework for understanding a function by first defining the name of a function, the variable(s) of a function, and the domain. So now, in my Calculus class and research, I am able to understand when my peers present functions for Machine Learning projects.

Kevin helped me see how to simplify the expression to make it more integrable, and illustrated the need for repetition in these types of problems to help me get better at knowing when simplification is needed. He also caught where I missed a negative signs. Kevin is a great tutor. Very patient and knowledgeable.
