Career Experience
I have 20+ years of experience as a professional engineer and have amassed a wealth of theoretical and practical knowledge in science, physics and math. I've successfully mentored dozens of engineers during those years and have played pivotal roles in many young lives throughout my career. As a full-time teacher, I taught middle and high school math, science, physics and electronics at a community school and continued providing grade-level tutoring on a voluntary basis for many years while working as an engineer.
I Love Tutoring Because
it fulfills a lifelong desire to share my knowledge and experience with students. My greatest satisfaction comes when students grasp the concepts I present and gain the confidence to dig deeper into the topic at hand. My approach has been to first present the "big picture," and then show practical examples for how the topic at hand is relevant in life. These techniques have helped students better grasp new and complex concepts and make the learning journey a lot more enjoyable and rewarding.
