Both tutors did not grasp my research plan. Even after sharing a study that I intended on replicating, the second tutor still did not understand the research aim and was therefore unable to address the difficulty I was having [identifying the variables, what tests would be required, etc.]. All that said, the second tutor was more thorough than the first; asked better questions.
