I really appreciate Isaacs effort. It was clear he was really trying to help - especially when compared to my last tutor who just shared the result of a stack overflow page and ended the session before explaining it. However, it felt a little demeaning having him ask me to explain things that were super below what I'm struggling with and with him coming out of the gate telling me that he wasn't going to provide me with code as if I just came in to get the answer handed to me. I have a lot of homework and don't have time to answer 100 super basic questions. He seemed more focused on avoiding providing code (which I wasn't asking for) and providing his own lesson than listening to my specific questions (e.g. other sources online were saying that deleting a root node would call destructors for that node - so it wasn't clear to me why writing a recursive function was even necessary - but he was super intent on teaching me about recursion). It was also pretty distracting to watch the chat go away line by line by line as I'm still trying to think about one thing he said that I was actually confused on before he moved on to something I wasn't confused on.
