Career Experience

I have years of experience working with children. Specifically, I have worked with kids aged two all the way up to upper elementary school. I have also worked with college students. In this capacity, I acted as an assistant editor for a collegiate literary magazine. There, I helped other writers to improve their work and their overall writing skills. Several short stories and poems of mine were published at the collegiate level.

I Love Tutoring Because

seeing a student's work evolve over the course of a session is so rewarding, as is seeing a student's confidence grow. In my experiences, I have witnessed pieces drastically improve just in the course of one edit or rewrite. It's amazing what potential can be gleaned in just one session. And for me, it is not really about getting a better product, but about improving the student's confidence in their own abilities. I think we all feel insecure about our work sometimes, so having another pair of eyes look at a piece and say I see the potential here; validation can really boost someone's self-esteem. I personally have been on both sides of the equation, and I know how it can be so beneficial to one's confidence. I feel very lucky that I can give someone that confidence boost.

I love this service! Danielle was great. I love how they work on my weak points. However, I wish we had a little more time. I submitted a paper for review but it takes so long to get them back.
