I have taught Developmental English for over 15 years. This includes grammar, reading comprehension, and writing paragraphs and essays, as well as papers that include outside research and the necessary citations. Prior to teaching I was a staff writer for a local weekly newspaper writing both news and feature articles.

I Love Tutoring Because

my passion is to work with students to help them succeed and reach their goals. Many students have difficulty with writing and using correct grammar. By working one on one with a student I can help them improve their writing ability so that they will be able to complete current and future assignments correctly. I believe being able to write and use English correctly is the basis of a student's success, regardless of their field of study. By working together, I can help the student get rid of any anxiety and frustration they may have when it comes to writing and grammar.

This was my first time using this tutoring method. I REALLY wanted to speak with a person but couldn't see the way to do that. The tutor couldn't help with it either, so I didn't get the most out of it. My questions were answered though, although not to the fullest extent they could've been had I had someone seeing what I was seeing. Thank you.
