Career Experience

I've led environmental education programs for an outreach non-profit in upstate New York, and presented at a regional herpetology conference and an international ornithology conference. I've worked as a field biologist studying Common Loons and Rusty Blackbirds in northern New Hampshire, and this coming year I'll be working with Hawaiian Gallinules on O'ahu. After getting a little more field experience, I plan to go on to graduate school in ornithology, herpetology, or arctic landscape ecology.

I Love Tutoring Because

I believe that the most important step towards environmental conservation is education -- in any field. I love tutoring because it's one more way for me to promote learning and understanding.

I liked how with this tutor, not only could I talk to them about the assignment, but I could also explain things from my perspective and how they could do the same as well. It was also really fun to find out that some things we have a similar mindset in, so it made working through what I had to do fly by pretty quick!

I really didnt know how the session worked but im glad i tried it. I will have to say sessions should be longer if they are tutors. but all in all great.
