Career Experience
I have been tutoring here for about four years and also help students with SAT/PSAT standardized test preparation. Prior to this I was a high school tutor for algebra and geometry. I currently tutor algebra, geometry, biology, and psychology.
I Love Tutoring Because
it is a way for me to share my passion for learning with others and help level the playing field in education! I recognize that every student comes from a different background and learning environment, so I strongly believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to learn and be successful in taking charge of this process. I also enjoy helping students actually understand a topic instead of simply memorizing different scenarios, because a student who truly understands the "why" and "how" behind a topic has the skills in place to tackle questions that may be presented in an unfamiliar way. I used to volunteer around kids (particularly special needs students) and miss interacting with kids. Tutoring is a way for me to continue working with the subjects I enjoy while also getting to work with kids and making a positive difference in their situations.
