Career Experience
My highest math education is Honors Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. I have four years of experience tutoring students in AP Calculus, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Common Core. I have taught high school students as well as college students. Apart from teaching students how to solve a problem, I also teach shortcut methods that help save time. These methods will be beneficial in standardized tests where time is limited. For physics, I tutor AP Physics and high-school physics. Physics mainly consists of creative thinking and thinking out of the box. There are many ways to solve a problem, and I teach students all the different approaches to solving it. I worked as a teaching assistant for Honors Physics in my university and have helped students increase their test scores by 13%.
I Love Tutoring Because
I am a physics graduate currently researching stellar astrophysics. My passion for teaching students started when I first worked as a teaching assistant. I found it rewarding, as not only could I help others come to enjoy the subjects I love, but I could also brush up on my basics. Whenever I write research papers, I often need to recall elementary and intermediate level physics, which I learned 3-4 years ago. So my tutoring students keeps all those concepts and theories fresh in my mind. Mathematics is the language of physics, and it's crucial to have a strong foundation in math to understand physics. I work with math and physics daily and enjoy helping students with them.
