Career Experience
In undergrad I played for the women's rugby team and was a member of the PEERS (Pursuit of Excellence and Education in Research and Sciences) community where I was a PEER-2-PEER mentor for incoming STEM focused students. Currently I am conducting research with Harvard University and the Global Neurosurgery Committee, while earning my master's in Genetics and Genomics. I have taken the MCAT and am on route to apply to medical school this year or the next. I have experience in many different fields of research and biology, including evolutionary biology at the Pinter-Wollman Lab, and working with geriatrics patients.
I Love Tutoring Because
I grew up as an expat, moving around internationally. Every country I lived in, however different the classes were or my surroundings seemed, I was able to rely on the content of my science classes to remain the same. I had the privilege of forming strong bonds with my mentors and teachers that enabled me to continue performing well in school, even with my nomadic lifestyle. Tutoring was a lifeline for me at many points throughout my education, and I loved reaching my "aha!" moments, where material clicked. Now, I have a passion for helping others reach their own understandings and create a love for the material that makes learning easier and more fun.
