I've been a systems integrator and a software test engineer. Both involved setting up servers, troubleshooting, not-quite-developing, and figuring out how to do things without obvious solutions. I'm trying to get a job in proper software development at the moment.

This was a good session but it kind of felt like it was just done fore me instead of really explaining why my code was doing what it was doing and the steps I needed to take to fix it. That would of allowed me to learn.
