Career Experience
My professional tutoring experience entails undergraduate neuroscience, statistics, and chemistry. Additionally, I have worked with my brother (an undergraduate) with trigonometry and statics and family friends (one middle schooler and one high schooler) with geometry, precalculus, chemistry, and a little bit of economics (however, I have no formal background in economics). I also have professional experience as a research assistant at graduate and undergraduate schools. As an undergraduate, I assisted in a memory and cognition psychology lab for my advisor. Afterward, I worked in a computational biology lab where I received my MSc.
I Love Tutoring Because
I hope to return back to school one day for a post-doctorate degree so a pedagogical approach to making a living is something that is very important to me. I've learned from past experience that teaching and problem-solving are skills that reinforce each other, and being able to communicate ideas to a student is the best test of one's knowledge. I love challenges, and tutoring math/science is a challenge that I take very seriously. However, by far the most rewarding part about tutoring is witnessing students have eureka moments and being able to share that experience with them.
