Career Experience
From 2020 to 2021, I worked as a writing tutor at a university's Academic Resource Center. During my time as a writing tutor, I offered one-hour tutoring sessions in the Academic Resource Center for students of all years for writing, developed and maintained relationships with students, staff, and instructors, kept accurate records and used required forms, participated in ARC outreach, and created tutor advertising and promotion. Following my undergraduate graduation, I went on to student teach at a local high school as a student teacher for a year as a part of my graduate program. There, I developed my skills as an educator and instructor by designing lessons, lesson planning, communicating and interacting with students and staff, and teaching.
I Love Tutoring Because
it increases one's enjoyment and passion for a subject. I want to contribute to an increased love for reading and writing, and I want everyone to experience the joy of producing a written product they can be proud of.
