Career Experience
I began tutoring in high school. At my first job, I was an afterschool tutor who assisted students from kindergarten all the way to eighth grade. Then I moved to my second tutoring job, where I became a summer school teacher. I was there for around 3 years. There I produced lesson plans, graded classwork, and assisted students with homework or on any concepts they found confusing in school. In high school, I was part of the science honor society and was given the opportunity to tutor students who needed help. Currently I'm interested in exploring careers in computer science and education.
I Love Tutoring Because
I find it fulfilling to share my knowledge and assist eager students in achieving their goals. I think tutors play an important role in filling in missing gaps of knowledge and viewing the bigger picture for the subjects that students are studying. I’ve always had a passion for science, and when I taught students as a summer school teacher, I found it rewarding to demonstrate that science can be a fun, dynamic subject rather than some boring requirement.
