Career Experience

Being one of the educators with passion in sciences, my teaching career has been fulfilling and dynamic. My career started on chemistry and biology, where I had to explain senior high school students the intricacies of these fundamental subjects for four rewarding years. I honed my pedagogical skills so that I could prepare and deliver an environment where students could explore and experiment in an atmosphere that would give them a deep understanding of the natural world. Their growth and enthusiasm fueled my desire to further expand my reach. Currently, I teach the entire range of science subjects to students from Grades 3 to 10. This expanded role allows me to work with learners at many different stages of their learning journeys while also adapting my approach to best meet the needs and interests of each. I consistently understand how the basics of science could be used as a springboard into the intricacies of biology and chemistry and love to share it all with young inquirers, creating a vibrant classroom where experimentation, collaboration, and discovery are encouraged as groundwork for lifelong appreciation of science. Beyond curriculum, I teach critical thinking, scientific literacy, and curiosity and wonder. I try to do this through hands-on, interactive discussions about real-world applications that empower them to be informed and engaged citizens capable of tackling the challenges of tomorrow. I am constantly reminded by the students every day that education profoundly shapes the future. I am proud to be part of a class that inspires kids about learning and creates a passion for the advancement of science in youngsters, shaping the next generations of thinkers, innovators, and leaders.

I Love Tutoring Because

it allows me to influence the pathway of learning by each and every student on a personal scale directly, which is not as easily feasible in a tutoring environment. In a teaching setup, for example, it becomes easy to connect with different forms of learning among students, strengths of particular students, and areas where they need improvement. Personalized attention enables the student to attack specific weaknesses, clarify concepts, and then receive focused support that might be hard to deliver in a larger classroom space. Another is that tutoring will greatly allow for a far more personal level of engagement and interactivity between the two of us. I would be able to cultivate an understanding, encouraging environment where questions are welcomed, curiosity is nourished, and learning is truly active and collaborative. I really enjoy observing the "aha" moments when a student finally pieces together something that seemed difficult or solved something that seemed intractable. Besides, tutoring means allowing flexibility in terms of both scheduling and content, so I can focus on particular topics or skills that the student might need help with, whether preparing for an exam, mastering a difficult concept, or just building confidence in their abilities. This flexibility means every session is productive and works with individual needs and goals. Generally, tutoring allows me the opportunity to really impact on the lives of students in developing their full potential, in erecting self-confidence, and in academic success. In itself, being able to share in their learning journeys is such a privilege because one gets to see how they grow and progress.
