Career Experience
I have many experiences working with people of different age groups, such as elementary, high school, and college students. While I was in college, I assisted with a course called LAS 101 designed by the university's First-Year Experience Office to help freshmen transition into college. I helped 30 students get through the changes and difficulties brought about by the pandemic and started their new journey in university. In addition, I participated in the Chinese Conversation Table, a registered student organization of the university, as a language tutor, helping 3-8 students improve their Mandarin and learn more about Chinese culture every week. In the summer of 2022, I will be the lead science instructor for an educational summer camp, where I teach a daily class of 12 to 22 third to fourth graders with innovative science concepts and work on hands-on science projects that encourage them to develop problem-solving skills.
I Love Tutoring Because
I have always been passionate about helping others achieve their goals; the joy of witnessing someone obtain new knowledge or overcome a difficult concept has always been unparalleled. This joy motivated me to continue assisting others looking for advancement.
