I am a math/science instructor. I have a degree in chemistry and am currently working on research in biology. I've been tutoring science courses and middle/high school math for several years.
I Love Tutoring Because
I enjoy being able to assist students in reaching their full academic potential. To be able to guide students along the path towards full understanding/mastery of complex concepts is a rewarding process for me. The benefits that one gains from tutoring students are immeasurable. I've been fortunate enough to work with some amazing students who value highly the educational process. The tutoring process is something that is near and dear to me, as I celebrate the students' wins and take to heart their shortcomings. I look forward to helping hard-working students maximize their wins!

The interview process was great! Monica was very interactive and answered any questions I had. This is a much better interview process than other tutoring sites where you record a lesson teaching a subject, which often isn't the reality of an actual tutoring session.

I downloaded the latest version of the computer app and yet my tutor said it was not compatible, so which one would be compatible? Online in the guide it shows how to schedule an appointment for the CII, yet when you get to the site it does not have a calendar as the one described in the guide.

I shared feedback from the first attempt-- just to align the online information with the new process so the information is accurate and the links to the 7 tenets and sample sessions is available. There was a slight delay in the video/audio portion of the session but nothing that made it difficult to follow.

The links and instructions prior to the CII were not accurate so I did not have the link to the 7 Tenets of Tutoring or the instructions to review a session prior to signing in to a CII session. Also, the instructions stated that I would click a link to schedule my CII session-- not join the session on-demand. This wasted 25 minutes of my time.

I connected to complete CII, it took a while to work through the queue so I didn't feel I had enough time at present to complete the interview. When I asked how long a typical interview takes, I asked twice, my question was not answered. Instead I felt I was being berated for being unprepared. I 100% feel prepared, however I was unsure the length of time for an typical interview. I wanted to engage at this time to complete the interview, however I didn't want to miss an opportunity with your company simply because I didn't have enough time at present.
