From the School
The Creighton University vision and mission underlies everything we do: we are a Jesuit university marked by a passion for learning and making a difference. Our programs are aimed at helping students from all backgrounds and walks of life reach an unparalleled level of achievement.
The same Jesuit spirit of intellectual openness and celebration of differences that drives the University creates an ideal academic environment for graduate students. You’ll work closely with recognized faculty scholars, enhance your critical thinking, and build knowledge and skills that will open doors in your personal and professional worlds.
Creighton’s nine schools and colleges deliver a challenging and rewarding education connecting arts and sciences, business, dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, occupational/physical therapy, and pharmacy, as well as programs in emergency medical services, and health and wellness. And we continue to earn national awards and distinctions for excellence in education while fostering a culture of service, as evidenced by the more than 8,000 students who annually volunteer hundreds of thousands of hours in their communities. U.S.News & World Report has consistently ranked Creighton as the #1 Midwest University and a “best value.” We’re also ranked as the #3 Master’s University by Washington Monthly.

From The School
Creighton University’s Graduate School offers over 40 areas of study for graduate certificates, master’s degrees and several doctoral programs that will help you work toward a professional degree, start a new career, or move up in your current career. The range of disciplines includes business, conflict resolution, education, humanities, leadership, ministry, health care, and science. In addition, some of these programs may be combined in a way that allows you to complete dual degrees for fewer credit hours than would be required if obtaining two separate degrees.
Academic Programs
Graduate programs are designed to meet the needs of students and are available in a number of delivery methods, including on campus, online, and hybrid/blended. Nearly two-thirds of Creighton’s graduate students enroll on a part-time basis, which allows them to continue their education while maintaining current employment and meeting the needs of their families. Whether online or on campus, small class sizes mean more personalized attention as well as greater opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration.
At Creighton we are continually adding to our academic offerings and course delivery options. Several new programs are in development for 2017, so please check our website for a full listing of programs.

From The School
Omaha, with a metropolitan area population of nearly 1 million, is Nebraska’s largest city. It is located on the western bank of the Missouri River, which serves as the Nebraska-Iowa border. Creighton’s 139-acre campus is within walking distance of downtown and riverfront business, sports/recreational, cultural and entertainment districts. Creighton also is conveniently located close to hotels and the airport.
In addition to the main campus in downtown Omaha and online education accessible from anywhere in the world, Creighton has a College of Nursing campus in Hastings, Neb., and a School of Medicine campus in Arizona. Creighton’s regional campus in Phoenix at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is the only Catholic medical school west of Omaha.
Sports, music, arts, culture and a thriving foodie scene—Omaha has it all. Creighton University is next door to TD Ameritrade Park, the home of the NCAA Men’s College World Series. Local, up-and-coming and big-name indie rock bands play in clubs all over Omaha and at the Maha Music Festival. Big name acts perform here, and national and local jazz and blues artists play at outdoor music festivals. Arts centers, galleries, museums, community theaters and even an opera company keep Omaha’s arts scene vibrant. And did you know Omaha has the best zoo in the world?
Student Organizations and Activities
Creighton University’s Graduate Student Government (GSG) sponsors social activities, and community service opportunities for graduate students, and also provides financial support for students to travel and present at professional conferences.
Campus Facilities
Creighton’s 139-acre urban campus encompasses more than 50 buildings, providing excellent facilities for the University’s academic, residential, spiritual, athletic and recreational activities. The beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly campus has been recognized by the Arbor Lodge Foundation as a Tree Campus USA University, and is listed in the 2015 Princeton Review Guide to 353 Green Colleges for its strong commitment to the environment and sustainability.
The University recently made extensive campus improvements, including renovation of buildings affecting more than 100,000 square feet of academic space and completion of the east campus athletic/fitness/recreation corridor. Learning spaces in the University Libraries offer a variety of furnishings and technology for individual and collaborative study.
