Student Enrollment Agreement Terms and Conditions
You have enrolled in a program with TPR Education, LLC d/b/a The Princeton Review or, if you are in Canada, TPR Education Canada, ULC, as applicable (“TPR”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
All program techniques and materials (online and print), content, code, software, data, videos, and session transcripts, copyrights, trademark rights and other intellectual and property rights used in or related to your program are the exclusive property of TPR or its licensors. You agree not to disclose, reproduce, sell or distribute to any third party any information, written or spoken, including course materials, obtained from TPR in connection with TPR courses or tutoring programs, and agree to use such information only for your personal, non-commercial use. Without limiting the foregoing, you further agree not to share your online TPR password or to otherwise allow any other person to use the TPR online resources purchased by you. To the extent you need to download software or documentation to access services or materials in connection with your program, TPR grants you a limited, non-assignable, non-transferable, revocable license to use such services and materials solely for use with your purchased program or services and only for your personal, non-commercial use. Such license will terminate when your program, plan or other service expires or otherwise terminates.
You understand that for certain TPR programs, size is limited and, therefore, enrollment is taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
You are solely responsible for all telephone, computer hardware and other equipment and all Internet or wireless services required for access to and use of our online services.
TPR reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change these Student Enrollment Agreement Terms and Conditions, in whole or in part, at any time. Changes in these Student Enrollment Agreement Terms and Conditions will be effective when posted.
Payment:
You agree to pay in full by credit card/debit or other payment acceptable to TPR, for your purchases of TPR products and services as follows:
- For our classroom and LiveOnline courses (including Bootcamps, Immersion programs, Summer Camps, and courses that include tutoring), you must pay the course deposit amount (or may pay in full) at the time you enroll. If you paid only the deposit when you enrolled, then you must pay the balance of the course tuition in full by 10 days prior to the first scheduled session of the course. If you have not paid in full by 10 days prior to the first scheduled session, you authorize TPR to charge the balance to your payment method on file. If you enroll within 10 days of the start of a course, you must pay in full at the time of enrollment. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if TPR has approved a payment plan for you or you made your purchase under an installment plan (as discussed further below), then payments are due in accordance with such plan, but you must still pay the deposit when you enroll.
- For our tutoring programs (including private tutoring and academic tutoring but excluding Homework Help and other programs that include tutoring) you must pay the program deposit amount (or may pay in full) at the time you enroll. If you paid only the deposit when you enrolled, you authorize TPR to charge the balance of the program tuition to your payment method on file 7 days or more after enrollment. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if TPR has approved a payment plan for you or you made your purchase under an installment plan (as discussed further below), then payments are due in accordance with such plan, but you must still pay the deposit when you enroll.
- For our self-paced programs (including self-paced programs that include tutoring) and AI essay feedback products, you must pay in full at the time you enroll.
- When you purchase a Homework Help subscription plan, we immediately charge the monthly fee for your plan to your credit card or other payment method we have on file and put into your account the number of minutes that corresponds to your plan for the first month. If your Homework Help plan starts with a free trial, then after the expiration of your free trial (unless you canceled your free trial before it expired), we will charge the monthly fee for your plan to your credit card or other payment method we have on file and put into your account the number of minutes that corresponds to your plan for the first month. On the same day of each month (or the last calendar day if you paid on the last day of a month), until you cancel, we will charge your monthly fee to your credit card or other payment method we have on file and refill your account with the number of minutes that correspond to your plan. When you finish a tutoring session, we will deduct the time you spent with the tutor from your account balance. While enrolled in an online tutoring plan for a set number of minutes of tutoring, you may also purchase single hours at a fixed rate without upgrading or downgrading your plan or changing your billing date. If you purchase a single hour, we immediately charge your credit card or other payment method we have on file and add 60 minutes to your account.
- When you make a one-time purchase of Homework Help (as opposed to a Homework Help subscription), we immediately charge the fee for the purchase to your credit card or other payment method we have on file and put into your account the number of minutes that corresponds to your purchase.
- For admission counseling services, you must pay upfront at the time of enrollment (unless TPR has approved a payment plan for you or you made your purchase under an installment plan, in which case payments are due in accordance with such plan). Please also see details regarding certain admissions counseling programs below.
- You agree to pay all fees, plus applicable tax, for any purchases you make concurrent with your order. If your payment method is declined and you receive the products or services, you agree to pay all amounts due upon demand by us. If you have not yet received the products or services, we may cancel your order. You authorize us to charge the payment method we have on file, regardless of whether the information associated with such payment method has changed, including but not limited to the expiration date of a credit card. We may receive updated information about your payment method from the issuing financial institution.
- If you choose an installment plan during checkout, you agree to pay for your program as provided in the schedule shown at checkout and as available in your Order History when you log in to your account with us, and you authorize TPR to charge the amounts owed to your payment method on file. You must maintain in your account at least one valid credit card or debit card that expires no earlier than the end date of your program. We will not use a credit report or otherwise engage in an underwriting assessment to determine your eligibility. We do not charge any interest or finance charges for installment plans. Any interest, finance charges or fees assessed by the issuer of the payment method to which payments are charged may still apply. You can choose to prepay either your next scheduled payment or the full remaining balance of your purchase at any time. If you do not pay on time under an installment plan, we may suspend your access to the program (including attendance at program sessions and online program materials) until all past due amounts are paid in full or remove you from the program. We reserve the right to limit the number of installment plans and payment plans that you may have open at any one time.
- If we have approved a payment plan for you, you agree to pay for your program in accordance with the payment plan schedule provided to you by email, and you authorize TPR to charge the amounts owed to your payment method on file. You must maintain in your account at least one valid credit card or debit card that expires no earlier than the end date of your program. We will not use a credit report or otherwise engage in an underwriting assessment to determine your eligibility. You can choose to prepay either your next scheduled payment or the full remaining balance of your purchase at any time. If you do not pay on time under a payment plan, we may suspend your access to the program (including attendance at program sessions and online program materials) until all past due amounts are paid in full or remove you from the program. We reserve the right to limit the number of installment plans and payment plans that you may have open at any one time.
- If you paid only the deposit when you enrolled in one of our programs and do not pay the balance of the course tuition in full when due, we may suspend your access to the program (including attendance at program sessions and online program materials) until all past due amounts are paid in full or remove you from the program.
- If your account is delinquent and we request a third party to collect unpaid amounts that you owe us, you will be liable for all of our attorneys' and/or collection agency fees.

Illness; TPR Program Changes and Cancellation:
If you are enrolled in an in-person course and our instructor believes that you are showing any symptom of an illness that may be infectious, the instructor may ask you to leave the class until you are no longer showing the symptom. In such a case, we may work with you on alternatives for fulfilling your program requirements. If you are enrolled in a program that includes in-person tutoring sessions and our tutor believes that you are showing any symptom of an illness that may be infectious, the tutor may reschedule the tutoring sessions to time when you are no longer showing the symptom.
Occasionally, due to various circumstances, TPR may change program schedules or locations (including but not limited to providing online class sessions in place of in-person class sessions), cancel a program, not have a tutor available for you for an in-person or on-line private tutoring or academic program (the foregoing does not apply to Homework Help) or not be able to fulfill your Small Group Instruction request. If we cancel the program in which you have enrolled and are not able to reschedule you into another program that is acceptable to you, or if we are unable to match you with a tutor as described above or Small Group Instruction, we will refund all of the tuition or program fee you have paid, including your deposit (and for Summer Immersion, any fees for room and board), and we will have no further liability to you with regard to the cancelled program. If you have received any program materials, you must return them to us, at TPR's expense for shipping in accordance with TPR's return authorization policy, within two weeks of the program cancellation. If you fail to return materials within the two-week period, and
- if you were registered for a classroom course or LiveOnline course, we will refund all of the tuition paid less your deposit, or
- if you were registered for a private tutoring or academic tutoring program, TPR will deduct a fee of $399 or
- if you were registered for a self-paced course, TPR will deduct the lower of $399 or the full price of the course.
Please note that refunds for cancellations under this or the immediately preceding section take approximately 30 days from notification of cancellation to be processed.

You agree that you will not bring any handgun, firearm, knife, mace, or any other object or material that may be perceived as harmful to others on TPR’s property or teaching locations, regardless of whether or not you are licensed to carry the weapon. In order to attend a program on TPR’s property or teaching locations, you agree that you will comply with other conditions that TPR may notify you of that in TPR’s opinion are warranted to ensure the safety of its instructors or students.
You agree that you will treat TPR tutors, instructors, coaches, and counselors with respect and not use obscenities, make threats or discuss matters other than those related to the subject in which you are being helped in your TPR program.
TPR may dismiss you from a TPR program or cancel your services, including online access to our services if you:
- have not paid in full by the first scheduled session (unless TPR has approved a payment plan for you or you made your purchase under an installment plan), or
- in TPR's opinion, are disruptive in the program, or
- do not comply with our Terms of Use set out on our website at princetonreview.com, these Student Enrollment Agreement Terms and Conditions, or other rules and procedures applicable to our products or services being provided to you.

Additional Terms/Information for Students Enrolling in an MCAT Program:
As part of your MCAT program, you will have access to practice tests made available by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) through a website created and supported by AAMC. You acknowledge that you must accept the AAMC MCAT Official Prep Hub Terms and Conditions (or other terms and conditions required by AAMC) in order to access the website and that AAMC will enforce such terms and conditions at its sole discretion. TPR controls your access to the website, and AAMC and its vendors are unable to provide you log-in information or technical assistance for the website. Use of the AAMC website login information by more than one person is expressly forbidden, and you agree that you will not share your account access to the AAMC website or reproduce, distribute, or display any AAMC MCAT preparatory products available through the AAMC website with any other person. You acknowledge that if you do so, AAMC will be entitled to immediately terminate your access to its website. You also authorize TPR to provide your name, email address, and user GUID to AAMC and its subcontractors and authorize AAMC to transfer your practice test results, including scores, multiple choice answers and essays, to TPR. Once transferred, such practice test results, including scores, multiple choice answers and essays, are subject to TPR’s Privacy Policy.
Additional Terms/Information for Students Enrolling in a LSAT Program:
Your LSAT program uses practices tests made available through a subscription to the Law School Admission Council’s (LSAC) LawHub Advantage. TPR can resell a subscription to you when you purchase one of TPR’s LSAT programs if you have not already purchased a subscription on your own. You acknowledge that at the time of enrollment you have been presented with the option of declining a subscription as part of your LSAT program purchase. If you have already purchased a subscription on your own prior to enrolling in a TPR LSAT program, you acknowledge that you are responsible for declining the purchase of an additional subscription at the time of your enrollment. If you purchase an additional subscription through TPR when you already have a subscription, you are responsible for contacting TPR to request a refund of the fee for the subscription you purchased through TPR. Please note that if a subscription you purchased on your own ends before your TPR LSAT program ends or if you purchased a subscription through TPR and you transfer your enrollment to a different TPR LSAT program so that your subscription ends before your new LSAT program ends, then you must renew your subscription directly with LSAC. If you do not already have a subscription, then you must not decline a subscription as part of your LSAT program purchase. If you withdraw from your LSAT program in accordance with these Student Enrollment Agreement Terms and Conditions without having activated a subscription you purchased through TPR, TPR will provide a refund of the fee you paid for the subscription upon your request (in addition to a refund of other amounts that may be due in accordance with these Student Enrollment Agreement Terms and Conditions). You acknowledge and agree that your subscription is with LSAC and that except as set forth in the preceding sentence, your withdrawal from a TPR LSAT program will not affect the subscription, you will be able to continue using your subscription for a period of 12 months from activation, and you will not receive any refund for the subscription. You also acknowledge and agree that LSAC, and not TPR, is responsible for any technical assistance with your subscription.
If you purchase a subscription through TPR, you must activate your subscription with LSAC and you authorize TPR to provide your name and email address to LSAC for LSAC to create an account and activate and manage the subscription. You acknowledge that you must accept an invitation email from LSAC and accept LSAC’s terms and conditions to activate your subscription. Whether you purchase a subscription through TPR or not, you must select The Princeton Review as your “coach” for your account in order to share your practice test results, including scores, multiple choice answers and essays, with TPR.
LSAT students are reminded that LSAC requires individuals who register to take the LSAT to agree to a LSAC Candidate Agreement which can be found at https://www.lsac.org/about/lsac-policies.
Additional Terms/Information for Students Enrolling in a Private Tutoring or Academic Tutoring Program (Excluding Homework Help and SAT & ACT Self-Paced with Tutoring) or in SHSAT Immersion Plus:
If you have purchased a private tutoring or academic tutoring program for a number of pre-scheduled hours, purchased SHSAT Immersion Plus in which a set number of hours of private tutoring is included, or purchased additional private tutoring hours for your SHSAT Immersion Plus program, please note that tutoring session lengths are variable; the number of hours of tutoring you have purchased does not necessarily correspond to the number of sessions you will have if you choose to meet for more than one hour at a time.
Payment for Additional Tutoring Hours
If you complete more tutoring hours than the number for which you enrolled, you authorize TPR to charge your payment method on file for the additional hours you have used at the undiscounted rate posted on our website for comparable tutoring at the time. Without limiting the foregoing, additional tutoring hours will not be eligible for any discount, promotion or rebate. Speak regularly with your tutor throughout the tutoring sessions so you know how many hours you have completed.
Canceling Tutoring Sessions
If you need to cancel a scheduled tutoring session, you must give the tutor 24 hours advance notice. If you fail to give 24 hours advance notice of any cancellation, the missed session will be treated for purposes of remaining tutoring hours, as if the session took place. If the tutor cancels or misses an appointment without 24 hours advance notice to you, you will receive one free session of equivalent hours to the missed session of tutoring in addition to the hours in your program.
Adult Supervision
Please note that TPR tutors are not permitted to meet in person with a minor student in a private home unless another adult is present during the entire session. If a tutor arrives for a session and an adult is not present, the tutor will not be able to conduct the session, it will be considered a session cancelled by the student without adequate notice, and you will be charged for the session. If the other adult leaves in the middle of a session with a minor student, the tutor will also leave at that time, and you will be charged for the entire session. Tutors may meet in person with minor students in public locations, such as a library or coffee shop, without another adult present. Tutors may also meet in person with minor students at TPR’s offices if there are other people in the offices and if they conduct the session in rooms that have doors with windows.
Tutor Satisfaction
If you are not happy with the tutor we have assigned to you, please contact TPR before your second tutoring session. We will assign a new tutor and we will not charge you for the first hour of your first session with your original tutor.
Forfeiture of Tutoring Hours
If after you have had your first or subsequent tutoring sessions, there is no tutoring session scheduled for you for over a 90 day period, all unused tutoring hours will be forfeited.

While enrolled in a plan, you may purchase additional hour(s) at a fixed rate (“Add on Hour(s)”) without upgrading or downgrading your plan, or changing your billing date. Add on Hour(s) are available for use only during the billing month in which you purchased the Add on Hour(s). Any unused Add on Hour(s) in your account at the end of the billing month in which you purchased them will not “roll over” from one month to the next but will expire and will be non-refundable.

While we hope that you will be completely satisfied with Homework Help, and we are proud that the vast majority of Homework Help users would recommend us to a friend, we know that occasionally you may have an unsatisfactory experience. If you do have an unsatisfactory session, please let us know about your experience so that we may investigate and improve our service. To report an unsatisfactory session, you may call us during business hours at 1-800-2REVIEW, or you may sign in to your account and use our automated system. If our internal review process determines that your session did not meet our standards of quality, we will credit all or a portion of the time used during the session back to your account. This credited time may be used in another session with our tutors within 30 days of the credit being issued.
Additional Terms/Information for Students Enrolling in our Medical-School Management Tool:
Our Medical-School Management Tool includes 1 free Message. A “Message” is a discussion thread on a single question, issue, or request initiated by students sending a message to their medical school admissions Expert from the Admissions Counseling Dashboard. For each Message, students are required to select a topic under which their question, issue, or request falls from a drop-down menu. The Expert may determine, in their sole discretion, when a new Message is required. When the Expert determines, in their sole discretion, that a question, issue, or request has been fully addressed, they may close the Message.
The number of Messages we place in your Medical-School Management Tool account are available for use, and do not expire, so long as you maintain your Medical-School Management Tool account. When you terminate your Medical-School Management Tool account, any unused Message(s) in your Medical-School Management Tool account are no longer available for use. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if you purchase any medical school admissions counseling program that comes with Messages after establishing a Medical-School Management Tool account, then upon the termination or expiration of such program, you will have no Messages available for use in your Medical-School Management Tool account.
