New York City Spelling Bee Giveaway Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. BY PARTICIPATING IN NEW YORK CITY SPELLLING BEE GIVEAWAY (“GIVEAWAY”), PARTICIPANT AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH SHALL BE FINAL IN ALL RESPECTS. IF YOU ARE A MINOR, ASK YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN FOR PERMISSION AND TO HELP YOU ENTER.
1. ELIGIBILITY: This Giveaway is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 13 years of age or older as of date of entry and enrolled in high school. Minors, who are between 13 and 17 years of age, or otherwise considered a minor in their State of residence, must obtain their parents or legal guardians’ permission prior to participating. The following persons are not eligible to participate: Employees, contractors, directors and officers of TPR Education, LLC ("Sponsor") and of its affiliates; the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, and/or "step") of each of the foregoing individuals and those persons, whether related or not, who have lived in the same residence for at least three months during the twelve-month period preceding the start date of the Giveaway); and distributors and promotion agencies involved in the administration, development, fulfillment and execution of this Giveaway. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
2. GIVEAWAY PERIOD: The Giveaway begins at 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on March 20, 2018 and ends at 5:00 pm EST on March 21, 2018.
3. HOW TO ENTER: You may enter the Giveaway by filling out the entry included in the NYC Spelling Bee program and then visit the Sponsor’s booth to it drop off. One entry per person. Incorrect, illegible, corrupt, and/or incomplete entries are void. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By submitting an entry, entrant agrees to abide by the terms of these Official Rules.
4. PRIZES (2): Each day of the Giveaway Period one winner will be selected at random. A total of 2 winners. Each winner will receive a gift bag full of Princeton Review swag (“Gift Bag”). Total Approximate Retail Value: up to $500.00. Winners may not transfer the prize or substitute the prize for another prize, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
5. RANDOM DRAWING: Each day of the Giveaway Period Sponsor will select one (1) entry at random from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received. If the selected winner is not an eligible to win the prize, fails to comply with the Official Rules and/or to submit any required documentation within the designated period, declines the prize for any reason, or cannot be reached using the contact information provided in the entry, that winner will be disqualified and the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.
6. WINNER NOTIFICATION: The winners will be notified via the contact information provided in the entry. Additionally, the name of the confirmed winner may be posted on Sponsor’s social media accounts. If winner is a minor in his or her state of residence, the minor’s parent or legal guardian will be notified, prior to awarding a prize and the prize may be awarded to a minor's parent or legal guardian.
7. GENERAL: By entering Giveaway, entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final in all matters. By accepting the prize, winner agrees to hold Sponsor and its affiliates and their directors, officers, employees and agents harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize. All federal and state laws apply.
8. USE OF INFORMATION: The information that you provide in connection with the Giveaway may be used for Sponsor's internal purposes and to send you information about Sponsor's products and special promotions and may be shared with Sponsor’ affiliates or third parties. 9. RELEASE: After receiving notification, the winner may be required to execute and return a Prize Verification Form and Publicity Release (unless prohibited by law) to the Sponsor within seven (7) days of notification. If the winner is minor in his or her state of residence, then his or her parent may be asked to execute and return the Prize Verification Form and Publicity Release.
10. WINNERS LIST: To obtain the name of the winner or a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: The Princeton Review, Attn: New York City Spelling Bee Giveaway, 110 East 42nd St., Suite 700, New York, NY 10017. Please specify “Official Rules” or “Winner List” and the Giveaway name on the front the envelope. VT residents need not include return postage for Official Rules requests.
