GotMyCollege Giveaway Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE BEST FIT COLLEGES, BEST FIT CAREERS TOUR GIVEAWAY (“GIVEAWAY”), PARTICIPANT AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH SHALL BE FINAL IN ALL RESPECTS. IF YOU ARE A MINOR, ASK YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN FOR PERMISSION AND TO HELP YOU ENTER.

1. ELIGIBILITY : The GotMyCollege 2018 Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is open to residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are 16 years of age or older at the time of entry, who has applied to and been accepted to a college, university, or institution (“Entrant”). Employees of Sponsor and its affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies (collectively “Promotion Parties”), and members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Giveaway or by any technical or human error, which may occur in the processing of the eligible entries in this Giveaway. Incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, unintelligible or late eligible entries or eligible entries which otherwise do not comply with these Official Rules will be disqualified. All eligible entries, upon submission, become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned and the Sponsor has the right to dispose of the eligible entries at Sponsor's discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, cancel, modify or suspend the online portion of this Giveaway at its discretion.

2. HOW TO ENTER : Follow @theprincetonreview on Instagram. Post a photo of yourself on Instagram wearing or with college gear from you chosen college or university and us hashtag #GotMyCollege between 12:01 a.m EST, May 1 and 11:59 p.m. EST, May 31, 2017 (“Promotion Period”). Your photo must comply with the all guidelines contained in Photo Guidelines below. Only one (1) entry per person. By entering the giveaway Entrant consents to receive from the Sponsor a reply through the Instagram user name used to enter the Giveaway for winner notification purposes. Entrants should contact their appropriate internet, wireless and/or phone service providers for complete details with respect to message and data rates both for sent and received messages.

Alternate Method of Entry :   To enter without attending posting a picture or using social media, simply handwriting your name (if you are a minor, you must include your parent’s or legal guardian’s name), complete address and email on a postcard and mail to: The Princeton Review, Attn: GotMyCollege Giveaway, 110 East 42nd St., Suite 700, New York, NY 10017. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by May 31, 2018 and received by June 5, 2018. (One entry per household).

3. PHOTO GUIDELINES : Photo must be original and have been created solely by the Entrant. To be eligible for the Giveaway the photo must comply with the following: (1) the photo must not exhibit the Entrant or anyone else engaging in or otherwise promoting any illegal, violent, dangerous or discriminatory behavior or contain any material that is threatening, indecent, violent, obscene or offensive, or that promotes a political agenda; (2) the photo must not include any brand name, trademark or logo of any entity (other than brand names, trademarks or logos associated with The Princeton Review or the college you have been accepted to attend); (3) the entrant must own the copyright in the photo posted; (4) the photo must not have been previously published or won any award; (5) the photo must not contain any material that violates or infringes upon the rights of any third party, including without limitation any copyright, trademark or right of privacy or publicity, or that defames any person, or that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to any applicable law or regulation; (6) if the photo identifies, depicts or contains any person other than the Entrant, then Entrant must obtain written consent from such person prior to submission (or his or her parent or legal guardian, if the person identified or depicted is a minor) to use the photo including such person’s name, image, and/or other identifying information, as applicable; AND (7) the Photo must not contain any material that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, deems inappropriate for public viewing and/or display. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any photo that Sponsor determines does not comply with these guidelines.

4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION : On or about June 5, 2018, the Sponsor will select a winner at random from among all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period and will post the name of the winner on Instagram, and/or other Sponsor’s social media accounts. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The winners will also be notified by direct message through the same method Entrant used to enter.

5. PRIZES : One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a $250 gift card (approximate retail value: $250.00) for the bookstore of the winner’s chosen college/university. No cash substitution, assignment, or transfer of any prize permitted. In the event a prize is unavailable, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

GRANT OF RIGHTS : By entering the Contest, each Entrant irrevocably grants Sponsor and its affiliates, (collectively, the “Released Entities”) the right to use the Entrant’s name, likeness, biographical information, in perpetuity, throughout the universe, in all media and formats, whether now known or later developed, for commercial purposes and any other purposes (including, without limitation, advertising and promotion, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Further Entrant irrevocably grants the Sponsor and its affiliates a non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit, create derivative works bases on or otherwise use the Entrants Photo in whole or in part, in perpetuity, throughout the universe, in all media and formats, whether now or later known or developed (including without limitation on Sponsor’s websites and social media channels), for commercial purposes and any other purposes (including, without limitation, advertising and promotion), without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

6. INTERNET : If for any reason this Giveaway is not capable of running as planned due to an infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Giveaway, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, entrant’s hardware, browser failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the Sponsor due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Entrant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participating in this Giveaway or downloading any materials in this Giveaway. In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on Instagram account, the winning entry will be declared made by the "Authorized Account Holder" of such account at time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person 16 years of age or older who is assigned to an account by the company or organization (e.g., Instagram) that is responsible for assigning the account. Sponsor may ask any Entrant or potential winner to provide Sponsor with proof that such party is the authorized account holder of the account associated with the entry.

7. GRANT OF RIGHTS : By entering the Giveaway, each Entrant grants Sponsor and its affiliates, (collectively, the “Released Entities”) the right to use, publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit, and create derivative of the Entrant’s name, photo, likeness, biographical information, in perpetuity, throughout the universe, in all media and formats, whether now known or later developed, for commercial purposes and any other purposes including, without limitation, advertising and promotion, without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

8. USE OF INFORMATION : The information that Entrant provides in connection with the Giveaway may be used for Sponsor's internal purposes and to send you information about Sponsor's products and special promotions and may be shared with Sponsor’ affiliates or third parties.

9. RELEASE : Winner will be notified by direct message to the account used to enter within one (1) business day after winner is determined. The winner will be required to execute and return a Prize Verification Form and Publicity Release (unless prohibited by Law) to the Sponsor within three (3) days of notification. If the selected Winner is not an eligible entry, fails to comply with the Official Rules and/or to submit any required documentation within the designated period, or declines the Prize for any reason, that Winner will be disqualified and the Prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any change to your email, mailing address and/or telephone number.

10. GENERAL : By entering Giveaway, Entrant accepts and agrees to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final in all matters. By accepting prize, winner agrees to hold TPR Education LLC d/b/a The Princeton Review (“TPR”), their affiliates, directors, officers, employees and assigns harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize. Acceptance also constitutes permission for TPR to use winner’s name and likeness for marketing purposes without further compensation or right of approval, unless prohibited by law. In the event a dispute arises as to the identity of a potentially winning online Entrant, entries made by internet will be declared made by the name on the online entry form. All federal and state laws apply. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram. In the event the Sponsor is prevented from continuing with this Giveaway, or the integrity and/or feasibility of the Giveaway is undermined by any event including but not limited to fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute, or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, war (declared or undeclared), terrorist threat or activity, or any federal, state, provincial or local government law, order of regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within the Sponsor's control (each a "Force Majeure" event) the Sponsor shall have the right, in their sole discretion, to abbreviate, modify, suspend, cancel or terminate the Giveaway without notice or further obligation. If the Sponsor, in their discretion, elect to abbreviate, cancel or terminate the Giveaway as a result of a Force Majeure event, the Sponsor reserve the right, but shall have no obligation, to award the prizes from among all valid and eligible entries received up to the time of such Force Majeure event.

11. Winners' List : The names of the confirmed Prize Winner will be posted on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or to obtain the name of the Prize Winner or for a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: The Princeton Review GotMyCollege Giveaway Winners, c/o The Princeton Review, 110 E. 42nd Street, 7th floor, New York, NY 10017. Please specify “Official Rules” or “Winners List” on the front the envelope. VT residents need not include return postage for Official Rules requests.
