Champlain College Application and FAFSA Deadlines
Early Decision: First-Year JANUARY 15, 2022
Regular Decision: First-Year JANUARY 15, 2022
Champlain is looking for students who are highly motivated to achieve their professional and personal goals. Applicants are asked for all the standard supplemental materials: transcripts, standardized test scores (optional), lists of extracurricular activities, the essay (optional), and recommendations. GPA, class rank, and other academic measures help determine if a student is academically ready for the intensive, career-focused education provided by Champlain. The College is also looking for strong writing/communication skills.
Champlain highly values some specific personal qualities and characteristics, which can tip the balance toward getting admitted if one of the elements of a student's academic profile is not as strong as their overall application. In such cases, a Personal Interview is recommended. A spirit of innovation, a commitment to inclusivity, an interest in global citizenry, a growth-oriented mindset, and solid values of service and environmental sustainability are all things the college is seeking.

Champlain students are skeptical in all the best ways, poking holes in old ideas in order to find new ways of learning, creating, and working. They're caring, creative, open to new ideas and experiences, and truly passionate about what they do. Champlain and its enthusiastic Student Life team create endless opportunities for students to come together, make friends, and have unforgettable experiences throughout their entire four years on campus.
Champlain has 2,100 undergraduate students who come from 40 states and 18 countries.
Champlain is a small college with a big campus life. Beyond Champlain's residence halls, a world of education, entertainment, and adventure awaits: concerts, dances, student-life adventure trips, film festivals, guest speaker events, networking opportunities, and other happenings on campus—not to mention all the things going on in the City of Burlington.
Students can get involved in service missions, student publications, intramural sports, performance opportunities, and any number of activities and clubs, including academic and professional organizations that can launch their careers.
Champlain also has one of the most comprehensive collegiate Esports programs in the country. It was the first college to offer four-year academic programs in game development, and now it is building a college-wide Esports program to match. Between its new Esports facility and the Champlain College Esports Network, there are plenty of ways to participate, regardless of skill level.

- When they're ready for a break, students can step outside and enjoy Champlain's beautiful hilltop campus, which is situated right in the heart of Burlington—the #1 College Town—according to Travel + Leisure and the Huffington Post.
Campus Facilities & Equipment
Across campus, you'll find classrooms designed for collaboration, Centers of Experience equipped for immersive hands-on learning, computer labs with the most up-to-date technology, and innovative spaces that model real-world business environments and creative studios. Here are just a few of the highlights:
- Award-Winning Library: Winner of The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Excellence in Academic Libraries Award, the Miller Information Commons offers a wide range of advanced technologies, extensive print and digital collections, and some of the most stunning views in all of Burlington.
- The Center for Communication & Creative Media is a state-of-the-art, 75,000-square-foot facility that features game and graphic design labs, a film and broadcast media production stage, sound studios, an art gallery and exhibit areas, plus a collaborative media hub for multidisciplinary projects.
- Ten innovative Centers of Experience immerse students from all majors in experiential learning environments where they can take their classroom knowledge and put it to the test on projects for real-world clients.

- The IDX Student Life Center is the heart and soul of extracurricular and social life on campus. The Center's Dining Hall and Fireside Lounge boast sweeping lake and mountain views, and the complex's Wellness & Fitness Center and Argosy Gymnasium are the starting points for Champlain's extensive intramural and recreational sports programs.
Off-Campus Opportunities
The great city of Burlington, Vermont, has it all: an impressive music scene, farm-to-table eateries, eclectic shops, and a downtown enlivened by 15,000 undergrads.
Between hiking, biking, paddleboarding, sailing, skiing, and other excursions, fascinating on-the-job adventures await. Home to community and environmentally minded Certified B Corps, such as Ben & Jerry's and Burton, Burlington is an innovation hub with rapidly growing industries, artisanal producers, and plenty of internships and jobs.
Champlain maintains close ties with the local community, and its students are the interns of choice at businesses and nonprofit organizations in and around Vermont, including Burton Snowboards, Seventh Generation, Ben & Jerry's, Keurig Dr Pepper, KPMG, the Howard Center, and the Department of Homeland Security.
Champlain has satellite campuses in Montreal, Canada, and Dublin, Ireland, plus a mission and curriculum that encourage international study. More than 50% of Champlain students study abroad, and many also intern as part of their study-abroad experience.
