More than 130 years ago, Meredith College opened with just over 200 women. Today, our student body has grown to include more than 1,800, and we're ranked regionally and nationally among the best colleges.
Meredith is located in Raleigh, North Carolina's capital city. In addition to providing recent graduates with strong job prospects, Raleigh's thriving local economy gives students access to powerful internships. In fact, 31% more Meredith seniors participate in internships or field experiences compared with other college students nationally.
Additional hands-on learning happens through undergraduate research, study abroad, and community-based learning. Study abroad options include a semester-long program in Sansepolcro, Italy, with additional opportunities worldwide including Costa Rica, Iceland, and France.
More than 115,000 college students reside in Raleigh and the Research Triangle Park area, the country's premier research and development hub. Meredith's historic 225-acre campus includes a 1,200-seat amphitheater, lake, six residence halls and student apartments, student center, fitness center, and athletic field and track complex.
Oour StrongPoints® program is a unique personal coaching model through which students identify their strengths and then build on them to prepare for the lives they want to lead after they graduate. More than 90 majors, minors, and academic programs give students a wide range of options for areas of study, and committed faculty and staff help students make the most of their strong potential.
In addition, Meredith students typically engage with the Office of Career Planning as early as their first year. Professional staff work with students to determine their ideal career path, based on their values, goals, strengths, and the life that they want to live after graduation. Career counselors assist with selecting a major, assessing skills and talents, securing internships, and participating in mock interviews, and negotiating that first employment compensation package.
So, what's the result of a Meredith education? 95% of our alumnae would choose Meredith again and 99% rated the value of a Meredith College education as good, very good, or excellent.

Academic Programs
Meredith's professors know you're as strong as you think. In addition to being accomplished experts in their fields, they are as passionate about teaching as they are about scholarship. They will help you discern your strengths, academic and personal, and then develop ways to build on them. That approach affects the kind of college experience you'll have and the kind of life you'll lead. Meredith's business school is one of two women's colleges worldwide to hold AACSB accreditation. Additionally, interior design, music, and social work hold the highest accreditations available. These specialized accreditations speak to the community's commitment to academic excellence across the curriculum.
Meredith places special emphasis on supporting students interested in pursuing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers. That support includes scholarships, a specialized learning community, mentoring program, and speakers who address topics of interest for women in STEM.
In addition, Meredith's dual degree engineering program in partnership with North Carolina State University's College of Engineering prepares students with the important critical thinking and communication skills of a liberal arts degree and engineering professional skills – the best of two worlds.
StrongPoints®, a distinctive advising and personal coaching program based on the unique strengths of each student, focuses on creating plans for success in four areas: academic, experiential learning, career or graduate school preparation, and financial literacy.

Tuition, Room, Board and Fees
The cost of College is important to you. It's important to us, too. That's why over 95% of students receive scholarships and financial assistance.
The College awards over $30 Million in scholarships and grants annually and $56.2 Million in financial assistance annually.
Tuition, Room and Board are the same for in-state and out-of-state students.
Financial Aid
At Meredith, we see the impact of great education everyday. And we want to make it available to you. Now, more than ever, we need strong, smart students who'll have a positive impact on our workplaces and communities.
We'll reward your hard work with academic merit grants and scholarships that are awarded at the time of admission to the College. Merit grants and scholarships range from $17,000 $24,000. Your application for admission is your application for merit grants and scholarships that are awarded at the time of admission (no separate application required).
Scholars' Programs (Honors, Teaching Fellows, STEM, and Service) Scholarships require a separate application and admission to the College by January 15. Read more about each program and apply here: https://www.meredith.edu/financial-assistance/financial-assistance-undergraduate-scholarships
All US citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to submit the FAFSA to be considered for federal, state, and additional need-based aid from the College.
International and undocumented students should submit our Institutional Aid Application to be considered for need-based aid. https://www.meredith.edu/financial-assistance/financial-assistance-international-students/
The average comprehensive financial aid offer for first-year students who entered in August, 2021 was $37,081.
