I was a high school math teacher for nearly a decade, teaching every level of math up to AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics. I've been tutoring for about twice as long--more than half my life!

I Love Tutoring Because

I live for that moment when a concept that a student has been struggling with suddenly becomes clear. When the exact same problem goes from difficult to easy because suddenly you understand--that's the best! And as a tutor, I get to make those moments happen every day.

Emily M was a very thorough tutor! She helped me determine what formula to use for the margin of error and the values to plug in. Emily also was able to bring up a Z table that had negative values on the whiteboard and helped me determine the Z score. She always asked me what numbers to use in my formulas. Emily also helped me with figuring out the answer to a related problem. She explained the similar concepts between the 95% confidence level and 90% confidence level. She helped me explain in my answer why the federal agency was willing to be less confident due to less costs for the poll with a smaller sample size. Emily was very patient and knowledgeable about statistics!
