MBA 641 Responsible Manager (3.0 credits) Offered by: Program: MBA Prerequisites: MBA 640 or COMM 610 concurrently This introductory course focuses on management, organizations and society. Students reflect on who managers are and what they do, and understand how their work is vital in all the functions of the organization. Taking a multi-level approach acknowledging the individual, organizational, and societal impacts of business, this course critically explores ethical behavior, corporate responsibility and stakeholder engagement. Students develop a more nuanced understanding of what it means to be a responsible manager and the role of business as a vibrant and important actor in society. The pedagogical method is primarily through case analysis.
