The Jenkins Career Management Center (CMC) understands career management needs for working professionals are unique and varied. Our flexible format, customized approach and commitment to all Jenkins MBA students are directly tied to their career success.
Examples of services:
Networking Mixers
On a periodic basis, the CMC will host networking events and guest speakers, and we aim to schedule for online students during one of the two required three-day residencies. We record when we can and welcome local online students to attend any/all.
Job Boards
On-campus recruiters who are interested in our MBAs typically look for candidates within 9 months of graduation. Online students may participate in the on-campus recruiter process, but will be asked to submit a resume and take advantage of some virtual teaching modules to prepare for the experience.
Virtual Resources and Tools
Professional MBA students are not on campus during weekday daytime hours, and Online students not at all. We have created a Virtual Career Center where you have 24/7 access to Interactive tools designed to help us to educate and connect with you. The CMC maintains a library of high-quality virtual materials covering management guidance, tools and videos that are continuously updated.
Career Coaching
The Jenkins CMC puts the needs of our students first. In addition to 1:1 face-to-face meetings, we meet via video conference, phone and email. During these sessions, topics of coaching range from personal branding to interview preparation to salary negotiation, ensuring you begin to build your ideal career.
Workshops & Webinars
The Jenkins CMC hosts numerous face-to-face workshops to cover important topics such as best-in-class resume optimization, networking and interviewing. These are typically held on Main Campus (Raleigh) from 4:30-5:45 pm. The CMC captures lecture-style workshops on video. And, once a month, the CMC hosts a webinar for students who do not visit campus.
