Every year, Babson enrolls undergraduate students who are among the best in the world. Rugby players, debaters, journalists, rock climbers, scuba divers, musicians, and astronomers—each member of our campus community is unique and brings their own perspective to Babson. The diverse student population allows students to learn from each other and come together as part of a dynamic living and learning community.

Babson's co-curricular opportunities reflect a tapestry of emerging student interests and passions that you will have an opportunity to fully immerse in, connect to, and lead. There are more than 100 student clubs and organizations on campus, including the Babson Dance Ensemble, Improv Troupe, Babson Fashion Group, Babson's Community of Developers & Entrepreneurs (CODE), Black Student Union, and Investment Club. Twenty-one percent of the student population participates in Greek Life.

Babson offers 22 NCAA Division III Varsity Athletic Programs—11 for men, 11 for women—club sports, and recreational programming.

The Babson community, while made up of individuals from many countries and very different backgrounds, is frequently described as tight-knit. "The greatest strength is the size of the school. Because it is relatively small, there is a stronger sense of community and it's a lot easier to make friends." As one student explains: "We play together and get along well." Babson students are almost invariably described as being very serious about their academic work and career ambitions. "Students at Babson College are incredibly motivated and visionary individuals. They tend to be confident in who they are, and are determined to achieve whatever life goal they've set." As another observes, "Babson's student body has the smarts of Ivy League students combined with an entrepreneurial mindset unlike most of other top schools." Many note that a good percentage of Babson students come from families that are financially successful and established in the business world, which some believe provides invaluable networking opportunities. "The student body at Babson College is full of ambitious and competitive people. However, there is also a strong sense of community and people love to help others succeed."

Babson students consider the wide array of clubs, teams, and structured social groups available on campus to be one of the school's great strengths. Many note that the administration encourages extracurricular pursuits, not only by offering over a hundred student organizations of various types, but also by providing liberal funding for their creation. "I am a part of many extracurriculars at college, from Student Government to Greek Life. I like everything I am a part of, and I like that I am able to diversify my involvement." Choices range from sports teams such as baseball, equestrian, and figure-skating, to marketing and finance groups, to charitable endeavors such as Habitat for Humanity, and particular interests such as theater, chess, and cooking. "Class schedules are very lenient and flexible, so students fill their days with as many extracurricular and career development activities as possible." In addition to the high level of activity on campus, many students also reap the benefits of living in the Boston area. Many routinely spend their weekends browsing the unique shops on historic Newbury Street, taking in an exhibit at the world-famous Museum of Fine Arts, or even cheering a Red Sox game at Boston's famous Fenway Park.

Given the entrepreneurial focus of Babson, students here “tend to be heavily invested in their life after Babson and in setting themselves up for a comfortable career.” It’s also helpful that “the alumni network is very responsive given how small and community-like Babson is.” The Center for Career Development connects students with prospective employers and is “one of the most active voices on campus and constantly has extremely useful events.” The Management Consulting Field Experience gives students practical industry experience in their chosen field. In the program, Babson students work as consultants to address a specific business challenge—giving them a chance to showcase their creativity and insights. The “extensive time taken to teach students here how to view the world through an entrepreneurial lens” is well known to employers, “making Babson [graduates] standout candidates for jobs.” PayScale.com indicates a starting median salary of $85,500 for Babson graduates.
