The University of Central Arkansas’s College of Business is located in the city of Conway, just north of Little Rock. The college offers both fulland part-time programs, as well as online classes in major fields of study including accounting, economics, finance, information systems, management, and marketing. UCA is known for being “cost efficient” and for its “diversity,” “high academic standards,” and “smart and easygoing professors.” For those looking to learn from home, students say, “UCA has made huge strides with online courses.” Most “MBA course are now offered online making it more convenient for those students that work full-time.” Many MBA candidates received their undergraduate degrees from UCA and returned, a testament to the quality of education. On such returning student notes: “The college is growing constantly” and the “MBA program is improving.” “We got a new building and facility for business program right when I completed my undergraduate, so now during my MBA I am able to utilize those facilities and technologies.”
The professors are “quite knowledgeable of the materials they teach” according to recent students, and “the school has good equipment, and a lot of resources.” “The professors help make the school great,” notes another. “I would argue they are as good as any in the area.” Professors are “helpful” and “accessible for additional assistance if needed.” All the “professors are really nice and try to help,” say one student. The “information presented is academically sound and very relatable to real world life.” Students feel that their input is welcomed in class and appreciate the use of “work experience” and realworld “examples to help teach the class.” While some students laud the “interactive” nature of their classes, others say that though they learn and discuss “real life situations and cases,” “UCA is still very traditional in how it teaches and tests.” Overall students find their professors “very easy to work with.” The course work may be “very hard, but because students and professors are friendly,” students “still enjoy going to this school.”
