Admissions Requirements
State residency is a requirement, with the exception of applicants certified by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) and Native Americans, applying through the INMED Program, who must be enrolled members of a federally recognized tribe. Minnesota residents also are given some consideration. Prerequisite course work is General Chemistry (8 hours); Organic/Biochemistry (8 hours); Biology (8 hours); Physics (8 hours); Psychology/Sociology (3 hours); Language Arts (6 hours) and College Algebra (3 hours). All science coursework must be completed with the appropriate laboratory sessions. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is expected. The MCAT is required (23 minimum), and scores must be no more than three years old. For applicants who have retaken the test, the most recent set of scores is considered.
