Graduates

About one-third of the practicing physicians in the state of West Virginia are graduates of WVU School of Medicine. At least half of our graduates enter primary care fields such as Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Ob/Gyn. While the emphasis is on primary care, students are encouraged to pursue sub-specialties, if that is their intended medical career.
